To say goodbye to March, in this post I have gathered the latest news on smartphones which have been incorporated into the market throughout these weeks.
From last 27th February to 2nd March, the Mobile World Congress was held in Barcelona. A reference event dedicated to mobile technologies, where the major companies presented their new terminals for this year 2017. In spite of the absence of the Samsung Galaxy S8 (which has been independently presented this week), these are the best 5 smartphones at the MWC:
Sony Xperia XZ Premium
Sony Xperia XZ Premium was awarded the Best New Smartphone prize at the MWC 2017. Besides being one of the first terminals to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, its screen is 4K resolution and its camera offers the possibility of recording slowmotion videos at 960 FPS, a typical feature of professional cameras.
This new LG model is being reinvented and the company presents one of its best terminals to date. With a metal and aluminium design without hardly frames, resistance to water and dust, quick charge, a dual camera with wide angle and a new screen format with HDR10 technology, all this makes this smartphone a great terminal to bear in mind.
Moto G5 Plus
Lenovo’s terminal introduces huge aesthetic changes, being the metal design its main one in comparison to earlier models which were made of plastic. In its features we can see a Full HD screen, Snapdragon 625 processor, 2/3 GB RAM and 12 megapixel camera with a maximum aperture of f/1.7. A really good medium range choice.
Huawei P10 y P10 Plus
These are the most powerful new models by the chinese company which have Kirin 960 processor, 4/6 GB RAM, dual camera by Leica, fingerprint reader, resistance to water and quick charge, among many other features. Furthermore, with regard to its design, we can see it is simpler and more elegant than the earlier version.
Nokia has returned to the market. Its new initiative is the Nokia 6, the terminal will have updates, a good hardware (Snapdragon 430 and 3 GB RAM), Full HD screen, a clear design with fingerprint reader and a differential touch. In addition, the Finnish company presented the renewed classic Nokia 3310, terminal intended to make phone calls (yes, that’s it) for only 49 euros.
Samsung Galaxy S8
Finally, one of the most expected devices of this year, the Samsung Galaxy S8 was simultaneously presented on yesterday Wednesday 29th March in London and New York. This new terminal by the company Samsung will have a Exynos 8895 processor, which has improved the quick charge system. Its Quad HD screen is the major innovation of this year, it has practically no frames and curved edges as the earlier version, by turning the physical home button into a virtual one. It is resistant to water, dust and scratches. And as new features, it allows facial recognition as an unlocking method and a fingerprint reader with new functions. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will go on sale next 28th April.
If you are interested in any of these terminals, do not hesitate to go to Media Markt store at the shopping centre, where professionals will advise you. In addition, if you want to own the Samsung Galaxy S8 sooner than anyone else, now it is possible to place your pre-order until 19th April; or if you prefer a LG G6 and you place your pre-order before 11th April, Media markt gives you a 32-inch smart TV for free.
See you next time.
