Without a doubt, the gingham print has become the leading trend of this new season spring/summer 2017. A large numbers of firms have already given their approval to this iconic print of naïf aesthetic and have added it to all kind of garments of their new collections, from dresses, skirts or tops, to even bags or shoes.
This chromatic duo offers endless possible combinations and it is so flattering. Combine it with denim, white or even with other prints and get a comfy, feminine and trendy look.
In this look I show you, I bet for a total gingham look composed with a shirt dress and a skirt with ruffles (another big trend of this spring). Two garments which are not thought to be worn together in the same outfit, but which perfectly combine when layered and thanks to the different size of their prints. The result is an original with character look.
Regarding accessories, I opted for black ankle boots and bag (although any colour would be acceptable too, as gingham print admits all kinds of contrasts). Finally, I used a burgundy lipstick to strengthen the final result of the look.
