When our mothers practically compelled us to wear those corduroy trousers we hated some years ago, we did not even consider the idea of that fabric becoming one of the greatest trends of the season a decade later. But actually it happened, the corduroy is on trend.
Despite being an extreme cloth, which you love or hate, its 70’s aesthetic and vintage style appear to have fascinated the street style world. Whether as a blazer, coat or trousers, the corduroy is back to stay.
Although corduroy may seem difficult to combine, its potential is bigger than you can expect. The first option are basics as they’re always right, even though it’s possible to play with volumes and textures, by adding a thick knitted sweater, an unstructured blazer or a graphic tee.
This suit I’m wearing, it consists of straight-cut flared trousers and a blazer, both of them are in dusty pink. Regarding accessories, I opted for a basic t-shirt and nude ankle boots to complement the outfit’s delicacy, what do you think?
